Santa’s Grotto Cheshire 2025
There are always loads of great places to see Father Christmas in Cheshire. This post is going to feature all the Santa’s Grotto Cheshire 2025 that I can find. There are so many great family Christmas Events North West to choose from but if you specifically want to see Father Christmas then this is the post for you. This post is part of a series of posts on Where to see Santa North West England.

I’ve done my best to add the details of all these events accurately and keep them up to date but I strongly advise you to click through and check on the organiser’s website to ensure the dates, locations and times are correct. Events maybe changed or cancelled and I will not necessarily be aware of this. Links are providers so you can confirm all details for yourself before travelling or booking. Some of these events require pre-booking so I’d recommend you do that as soon as you decide you want to in order to avoid disappointment.

Summary: Find Father Christmas and his elf helpers in a festive grotto. Enjoy roaming entertainers, festive choirs, brass bands, crafts and delicious treats in the Christmas Cafe.

Santa cruise, Anderton boat lift – book now for 2025
When: 20th, 21st, 22nd, 23rd and 24th December 2024

Santa is once again returning to celebrate this festive season with us. He is bringing with him some helpers, his story book, some new songs and we’re sure there will be some gifts too!
Santa loves having his photograph taken, so there will be opportunity for every family to take their own photo with him on the cruise.
The cruise will last approx. 45mins

Meet Santa at The Hayloft, Warrington – book now for 2025
Where: The Hayloft, Sandy Lane Farm Sandy Lane Bold WA8 3XP
When: 20th – 24th December 2025
Join the elves for some fun in their enchanting workshop, including making magical reindeer food ready to sprinkle on your lawn on Christmas. Travel on the enchanting miniature Christmas railway before entering the magical grotto to enjoy a story from Santa and receive a gift for each child!
Please wrap up warm as this is an outdoor undercover event. The train ride has no cover so please dress for the weather.
50-55 minute experience: £21.50 per child including gift and train ride, £7.50 per adult (14 years +) including train ride.
Under 1s WITHOUT an older paying sibling will require a full child ticket please.
Under 1s, £8 WITH an older paying sibling and will receive a gift.

Meet & greet Father Christmas at Quarry Bank – book now for 2025
When: 5th – 22nd December 2025 selected dates
Where: Quarry Bank, Styal
Cost: £2.50 per child, admission fee required except for NT members
Summary: This is not the usual grotto and activities that Quarry Bank have done in previous years. Step into the festive spirit with a magical encounter in the upper garden, where Father Christmas is busy preparing for the big day. Share your wish list, have your photo taken, and enjoy a special moment with him. Every child will receive a sticker and a small treat to take home.
Please arrive at the start of your booked session. Each family group will enjoy a personal meet-and-greet with Father Christmas during their timeslot.
The event takes place in the Back Sheds, near the Garden Café.

Santa’s Enchanted Grotto, Grosvenor shopping centre – Book now for 2025
Where: Grosvenor Shopping Centre 3-10 Newgate St, Chester
When: 21st November – 24th December 2025
Cost: £14 per child (includes gift), £6 per adult
Get ready to step into the spotlight for an immersive, festive, movie-inspired journey guided by the Jolly Enchanted Elves, ending with a personal visit with Santa himself.
The grotto will be located within St Michael’s Row inside the Grosvenor Shopping Centre, filled with seasonal sparkle and Christmas spirit.
Each experience will last around 30 minutes, and each child will receive a gift from Santa to go home with.

On this family-friendly cruise children will have chance to meet Santa, who will bring them each a festive book to read over the holidays. The Lady Diana will be spruced up with lights and tinsel, and the ChesterBoat elves will be on hand with refreshments and fun activities.

You are welcome to visit the farm before and/or after your visit to Santa. Ticket includes a visit to Santa, gift and a free return visits for 1 month.

Dickensian Grotto at Grosvenor museum – book now for 2025
When: 6th & 7th December 2025
Experience the sights and smells of a Victorian Christmas, set within Chester’s Grosvenor Museum.
Join us at Grosvenor Museum, Grosvenor Street over the festive period, where we’ll be hosting the original Father Christmas and Mother Christmas. Come and meet them in their enchanted Dickensian grotto, complete with traditional toys and festive cheer.

Festive boat trips and Santa’s Grotto, National waterways museum, Ellesmere port – book now for 2025
Where: National Waterways Museum, Ellesmere Port, South Pier Road, Ellesmere Port, Cheshire, CH65 4FW

Cost: Boat trip and grotto £11.50 per adult or child. Grotto only £8 per child.
Meet Father Christmas at the museum in his Grotto with the option of also taking a festive boat trip along the canal with some of his elves and enjoy singing, games, stories and a treasure trail.

Santa’s grotto at Walton Hall – book now for 2025
When: selected dates from 29th November – 23rd December 2025.
£12 per child. Includes a visit to see Santa, a present and a puzzle trail.
There will be photographs and gifts to purchase of your magical moment on the day. There will also be lots of other wonderful festive activities to take part in, including craft activities to keep all the family busy!

Roast Marshmallows with Santa, Into the wild – book now for 2025.
Where: Into The Wild Ltd, Ashley, WA14 3PT. Full walking route to get to them is on the website. No onsite parking.
When: 6th -21st December 2025
Personal session with Santa in his tipi. Event includes a special card to fill in and post in Santa’s magical post box, as well as a delicious marshmallow for each family member to toast with Santa himself around the fire whilst he makes everyone laugh.

When: every weekend in December 2025 (11am – 3pm) and Christmas Eve (10am – noon)
No need to book. Buy a ticket from the farm shop on the day.
£9.95 per child. This includes meet & greet with Santa, a special gift and chocolate from Santa and photo opportunities.
