Christmas light trails Cheshire
BeWILDerwood presents Christmas – tickets on sale now for 2023
When – 2nd – 23rd December 2023
BeWILDerwood held it’s first-ever Christmas light trail last year. It was full of beautifully handmade decorations, sparkly lights, Christmas cheer and of course the curious characters of BeWILDerwood made an appearance. There was also a mini pantomime, again with a magical BeWILDerwood twist.

Tickets are £15.50 for everyone over 92cm.

Lanterns and light at Chester Zoo – tickets for 2023 on sale now
When – 17th November – 31st December 2023
This year Chester zoo has joined up with Sony music to create whole new captivating light installations. Be transported into enchanting lands filled with colour and festivity, where you can meet orangutans, lions, dolphins and woolly mammoths as you make your way along the trail! Wonder at the colour-changing displays stretching as far as the eye can see, while birds and stars adorn the zoo’s winding paths and trees. Take a walk through the spectacular Winter Cathedral tunnel of lights and even catch a glimpse of Father Christmas in his sleigh.

Walton Gardens Winter Light Trail 2023 – tickets on sale now
A spectacular, illuminated trail, full of wonder and intrigue, to delight and enthral your senses. As darkness descends, join us on our enchanting journey, as we weave a captivating light trail through the stunning, grounds of Walton Gardens. Immerse yourself in our mesmerising trail, with stunning lighting elements and fabulous light play, all set to ambient music.
30th November 2023 – 24th December 2023
Entry times from 4.30 pm to 8 pm
Choose your entry time. The trail will take approximately 60 – 90 minutes, depending how long you dwell along the way.

Christmas at Bolesworth 2023 – book now
As dusk falls this dog-friendly Christmas Lights Trail comes to life and becomes the most dazzling winter illuminations event in Cheshire and beyond. Bolesworth is bathed in seasonal colour, our beautiful grounds lit with thousands of stunning lights and effects, projections and interactive installations creating an unforgettable seasonal experience for children and grown-ups alike.
There is also a fairground, festive food and drink and reindeer. You can add on ice skating and/or Santa’s grotto.

With festive lighting and illuminated walkways, get into the festive spirit with a wander through the Upper Gardens with friends and family. Keep an eye out for Mrs Claus preparing the sleigh for Christmas Eve, and little ones, don’t forget to pick up your reindeer food ready for the big day.
Tickets include entry and hot drink for adults. And for children tickets include entry, reindeer food and child size hot drink.

Christmas light trails Manchester
Christmas at Dunham Massey 2023 – tickets on sale now
Masses of twinkling lights and giant glowing deer welcome you to the beautiful and iconic atmosphere of Dunham Massey after dark. Discover new light and sound installations for 2023 as colour-changing batons of light stretch out into the far distance and winding paths pass tunnels of stars. Watch lights dance along the lawn and discover larger-than-life flowers that tower overhead.
The trail is approximately one mile long and we’d recommend allowing 1 to 2 hours for your visit. Food, drink and fairground rides are available onsite.

Glow at RHS Bridgewater 2023 – tickets on sale now
When – Selected date from 15th November – 30th December 2023.
Take an enchanted walk through RHS Garden Bridgewater, marvelling at spectacular light displays along your way. Weave through yew domes festooned with fairy lights, stroll through the illuminated archways of the Kitchen Garden. At Garden Cottage hit the rainbow dancefloor and lose yourself in a soundtrack of Manchester anthems (chosen by you).

Christmas light trails Liverpool
Enchanted at Knowsley Safari – 2023 tickets on sale now
When – 19th November – 30th December 2023.
This is a spectacular night-time adventure as the foot safari comes alive with an enchanting animal trail and forest lights, and toasted marshmallows to complete your festive fun. There will be a full range of festive food, tasty treats and for the thrill-seekers out there, the rides will be open too. There’s also a chance to meet Father Christmas (additional charge, booking required).
New for 2023 is a Christmas carnival area with games included in your ticket price.
Tickets are priced at £11 and at special discounted price of £9 for members. Under 3s and carers are free.
There are two Santa Experience packages to choose from. Tickets are £10 and £18 per child and must also be pre-booked online

FREE Liverpool’s Brightest Light Trail, Royal Albert Dock, Liverpool – 2023 details.
When: 17th November – 5th January
This Christmas, Royal Albert Dock Liverpool will be illuminated once again with the return of its popular light trail. Taking place across the estate with over 1 million twinkling lights, embark on an enchanting waterfront wander.
Enjoy a selection of characters from Liverpool’s coat of arms alongside nautical installations representing the dock’s rich maritime history, offering a fun, free activity for families during the festive period. Highlights include a giant yellow submarine, a family of dazzling jellyfish as well as Neptune and Poseidon standing tall at the dock’s entrance.

The light before Christmas, Liverpool Cathedral – book now for 2023

Enjoy the most wonderful time of year as the magnificent Gothic interior of the iconic building becomes a canvas for a sequence of dazzling light and sound artworks.
This year, award-winning artistic collaboration Luxmuralis are back with ‘Light Before Christmas: The Manger’, the second of The Light Before Christmas series.
This beautiful, immersive experience will take visitors on an incredible journey through the Nativity story celebrating the true magic of Christmas.
