If you’re in or around Cheshire and looking to buy a real Christmas tree, you’ve come to the right the right place. This post will tell you where to buy a real Christmas tree in Cheshire. There are loads of places to choose from. This post is part of a series of post on Christmas Events North West.
There are many garden centres and other shops sell real Christmas now and I’m not planning to include all of these in this guide. There are two main varieties of real Christmas trees on sale. They are Nordmann fir and Fraser fir.
Nordmann Fir boasts a classic Christmas Tree shape with glossy green needles, making it an ideal choice for families with young children. Renowned for retaining its needles exceptionally well, this variety stands out as the most favored in the UK.
On the other hand, the Fraser Fir offers a more traditional option, featuring a narrower profile suitable for smaller spaces like flats. Its densely packed branches emit a subtle orange pine scent, creating a perfect backdrop for hanging decorations.
Libby’s patch, Macclesfield – open now for 2025

When – Open 7 days a week and local delivery is available too. Trees arriving soon, no exact date of opening given yet. Reserve your tree by the 22nd November to get a £5 gift voucher to spend in the cafe.
All the trees are sustainably grown and scoured in Scotland at their sister farm. They only supply you with the best premium none drop Nordmann fir trees so you won’t be disappointed.
You’ll also find all the usual Libbys Patch goodies such as luxury hot chocolates, stone baked pizza and marshmallows to toast on the campfire.

Wide variety of Christmas trees for sale. These Nordman Fir, Fraser Fir, Lodge Pole Pine, on site and Noble Fir (available on request) all needle retaining varieties. Also, traditional Norway Spruce. They also have a selection of pot grown trees.

They are independent growers of Christmas trees from their own plantations in Caithness, Aberdeenshire, Perthshire and Stirlingshire.
You can find Nordmann, Noble and Lodgepole pine.
