I can’t believe it’s time to start thinking about Christmas 2023 but many of the events below are already available to book. Find all the Christmas events Liverpool 2023 below. I’m sure there will be many more events in Liverpool and I’ll add them as the details are released over the next few months so save this page and keep coming back. This post is part of a series of posts on all the Christmas Events North West.

Enchanted at Knowsley Safari Park – no details yet for 2024

When –

As the sun sets, the Foot Safari will come alive with music, light, festive food and rides for enchanted! You and your family can get into the festive spirit with a range of festive food, tasty treats and a magical atmosphere! For the younger thrill-seekers, rides are open throughout Enchanted. Refreshments and rides are not included in the ticket price.

From £8 for non-members, under 3s free, from £10 for members. (2023 prices)

Lapland Liverpool at Otterspool Adventures – book now for 2024

When – selected dates 1st December – 24th December 2024

This Christmas enjoy up to three hours of magical activities.

The ticket includes a visit to Santa (and gift), ‘Make a Bear’ workshop, a Festive Show, gingerbread decorating, storytime with Mrs Claus and other attractions including a Christmas Ice rink. VIP tickets also include virtual reality sleigh ride.

When –

Who doesn’t love this Christmas classic animation? Seeing it with a live orchestra is really special. This year it’s combined with a showing of Wallace and Gromit: The Wrong Trousers.

A Christmas Carol

Join Charles Dickens as he brings to life one of the most famous ghost stories of all time. A tale of revenants and redemption, hauntings and humbug, seasonal spooks and sentiment.

Preschool Christmas Stories

Wednesday 29 and Thursday 30 November, Tuesday 5 and Wednesday 6 December

Take your place in a Christmas-decorated Great Hall this winter and enjoy some merry and mirthful stories for young children. The event is free, but does need to be booked to guarantee a spot.

The Tudor Songbook at Christmas

Saturday 2 December 2023

Gather at Home Farm restaurant for festive refreshments before heading into the magnificent Great Hall filled with Tudor festive decorations.

Experience the music of the Tudor period at this magical time of year, in a space the Norris family would have celebrated Yuletide in the 1500s in their newly-built home.

Liverpool ONE Christmas LIVE! – no details yet for 2024

When – 17th November 2023

Where – Liverpool ONE

Expect an evening full of non-stop music, singing and dancing from hundreds of local school children and community groups as they perform across multiple stages, helping to spread the yuletide cheer as Christmas swings into action.

You can also expect jaw-dropping aerial performances, popup pantos as well as a series of festive light installations to grab those all important selfies to remember the night.

Bar Hutte, Liverpool ONE – 2023 details

There’s lots going on for families including Santa Claus club (£25 for one hour, karaoke and hot chocolate), Festive movie Sundays (Elf on Sunday 12th November, Miracle on 34th Street on Sunday 20th November, The Grinch on Sunday 27th November, free but booking required) and festive sensory mornings.

The magical adventures of Peter Pan, M&S bank arena – book now for 2024

FREE Liverpool’s Brightest Light Trail, Royal Albert Dock, Liverpool – no details for 2024 yet

When: 17th November – 5th January 
This Christmas, Royal Albert Dock Liverpool will be illuminated once again with the return of its popular light trail. Taking place across the estate with over 1 million twinkling lights, embark on an enchanting waterfront wander.

Enjoy a selection of characters from Liverpool’s coat of arms alongside nautical installations representing the dock’s rich maritime history, offering a fun, free activity for families during the festive period. Highlights include a giant yellow submarine, a family of dazzling jellyfish as well as Neptune and Poseidon standing tall at the dock’s entrance.

The light before Christmas, Liverpool Cathedral – no details for 2024 yet

When – 1st – 8th December 2023

Enjoy the most wonderful time of year as the magnificent Gothic interior of the iconic building becomes a canvas for a sequence of dazzling light and sound artworks.

This year, award-winning artistic collaboration Luxmuralis are back with ‘Light Before Christmas: The Manger’,  the second of The Light Before Christmas series. 

This beautiful, immersive experience will take visitors on an incredible journey through the Nativity story celebrating the true magic of Christmas.

Alice in Wonderland, Shakespeare North Playhouse

When – 22nd November 2024 – 5th January 2025

We saw their Christmas family show in 2023 and it was amazing.

Alice has always told her children stories of her adventures in a faraway world, not that they believe her! Even Alice has begun to doubt whether she’d really lived that daydream. Until, one Christmas Eve, caught up in the chaos of last-minute shopping, a flash of white fur lures Alice back into an all too familiar story…

Wonderland has fallen into the terrible rule of The Duchess, the cold-hard successor to the Queen of Hearts. Memory wiping jam tarts and informant eggs control the kingdom and make everyone miserable. Once again, Alice’s old friends, the Mad Hatter and the Cheshire Cat need her help to restore freedom to Wonderland!

Alice, however, is more bothered about getting back to her family in time for Christmas…
