Halloween events Cheshire 2026

Many kids love Halloween and as such there are loads of great kids’ events happening especially as it falls at the end of the half-term holidays. This post is filled with all the Halloween events Cheshire 2026. Some of these events are not so scary so they are perfect for young children and some are more suitable for older children. This post is part of a series of posts on Halloween events North West.

Pumpkin picking Cheshire

If you are looking for somewhere to pick a pumpkin then you need my guide to all the pumpkin patches in Cheshire here. Some have refreshments on sale and some areas where you can carve your pumpkin too.

Teggs Nose country park Halloween trail – Details for 2026

Cost: Purchase a map from The Nose Coffee inside the Tegg’s Nose Visitor Centre, for 50p, and get searching around the top of the park. Once you’ve completed the trail come back to The Nose Coffee for 50p off your food and / or drink order.

The Mystery of the Crematorium, Maize Maze. Each of the 7 scarecrows hold a crazy mixed up flavour of ice cream name. Fill them into the crossword puzzle, then find your way out. Takes about 1 hour.

Halloween by day – the live scarecrows are glittery, kind and helpful. There is also pumpkin picking and carving as well as seasonal ice cream and hot drink flavours. No need to book.

Halloween by night – See the farm lit up by night for The Mystery of the Crematorium. Expect clowns, dolls, convicts, scientists, the crazy ice cream lady, live scarecrows and chainsaws! Live DJ. No chainsaws before 8pm. Chainsaws and convicts going the maze at 8pm. Booking required.

Knutsford pumpkin path 2026

Where: Knutsford town centre

Summary: Find the pumpkins hidden around the town centre in shop windows, each of which has a letter carved into it. You note down the letter on your entry forms and completed entry forms can then be posted into dedicated post boxes to enter a prize draw!

Enjoy lots of extra entertainment on the night including singing and dance performances, spooky characters available for photo opportunities, Halloween themed window displays, competitions and other activities.

Halloween trail at Ness Botanic gardens – Details for 2026

Summary: Can you solve the mystery of ‘Which book has the Witch not read?’ As you explore Ness Botanic Gardens, keep your eyes peeled for some familiar favourites from the world of books and see if you can crack the conundrum.

There’s plenty for the whole family to enjoy, with the trail especially designed to challenge and entertain 5–12 year olds. The trail takes approximately 40 minutes to complete, giving you plenty of time to explore the gardens along the way.

Wild’s Halloween Extravaganza, Into the Wild coffee shack – details for 2026

Where: Wa14 3BU, walking distance of Altrincham

When: 24th – 31st October 2026 (except 26th)

Cost: Children 2- 14 years £11, Adults £5

Summary: Expect Halloween props, spooky decorations and Halloween photo spots throughout the woodland, alongside all the usual Wild Play fun. Some of the props are a little scary, but the Halloween experience is designed to be suitable for all the family.

From 2pm we’ll have Monsters, Inc. showing in the tipi — perfect for getting cosy after exploring the woods! Fancy dress encouraged. Pizza served (extra cost) 11am – 4pm.

Wilmslow Halloween trail – no details yet for 2026

When: 18th October – 1st November 2025

Participants can pick up a free trail map from Waitrose or Wilmslow Library and set out on a fun-filled adventure. The trail also features 10 hidden Draculas to seek out, along with puzzles, colouring activities and a chance to win spooky prizes by submitting completed sheets at Waitrose.
