Halloween events Cheshire 2025

Many kids love Halloween and as such there are loads of great kids’ events happening especially as it falls at the end of the half-term holidays. This post is filled with all the Halloween events Cheshire 2025. Some of these events are not so scary so they are perfect for young children and some are more suitable for older children. This post is part of a series of posts on Halloween events North West.

Some of these events require pre-booking so I’d recommend you do that as soon as you decide you want to in order to avoid disappointment.

Where: This one is outside of Cheshire but well worth the drive. Alton Towers, Alton, Staffordshire, ST10 4DB

For their youngest visitors there is a CBeebies land monster ball and other spooky, not scary fun.

For older children there is Amigos in the afterlife (interactive walk through for children 6+), Trick O’ Treat Town with HARIBO & MAOAM (suitable for 6+), rides in the dark and much more.

Halloween at Quarry Bank – Book now for 2025

Where: Quarry Bank Mill, Styal

When: 23rd October – 1st November 2025

Cost: from £15-£18 per adult, £10-£14 aged 3 – 16 years, Family of 4 £46-£61. Parking free for NT members, £8 for everyone else.

Summary: A spooky illuminated trail from dusk into darkness across the historic estate. Wander through eerie lighting, ghostly figures, and foggy paths for family-friendly thrills.

The creepy little cow shed – book now for 2025

Where: The little cow shed, Hare Lane Farm, Davenport Lane, Brereton Heath, CW12 4SU

When: October 2025. Weekends only.

Pumpkin picking and face painting. Saturdays between 5-8pm are twilight sessions. There will be a Magic Show for the kids, a selection of food vendors, hot and cold drinks, a bar, face painting, and of course pumpkins to pick, all under the October night sky and some twinkly lights.

Tatton park pumpkin patch – details for 2025

Cost: Standard farm admission plus £4 per pumpkin. Pre-booking is essential

Summary: Make a visit to the farm to meet the animals and then head to the pumpkin patch to pick your own.

Myth, magic and mystery, Tatton Park – book now for 2025

When: 30th & 31st October 2025

Have a go at brewing a potion and learn what gruesome ingredients were used for medicines in the past.  This event is recommended for families with children aged 7-11 years old.

Teggs Nose country park Halloween trail – Details for 2025

Where: Buxton old road, Macclesfield

When: 25th October – 2nd November 2025

Cost: Purchase a map from The Nose Coffee inside the Tegg’s Nose Visitor Centre, for 50p, and get searching around the top of the park. Once you’ve completed the trail come back to The Nose Coffee for 50p off your food and / or drink order.

Fright Fiesta at Gulliver’s world – tickets on sale for 2025

Summary: A colourful, festival-style Halloween filled with costumes and music. Showcase your fancy dress in their street parade, and discover spooktacular rides. You could even combine your day with a spooky sleepover.

Knutsford pumpkin path 2025

Where: Knutsford town centre

When: 31st October 2025, 4-7 pm

Cost: free

Summary: Find the pumpkins hidden around the town centre in shop windows, each of which has a letter carved into it. You note down the letter on your entry forms and completed entry forms can then be posted into dedicated post boxes to enter a prize draw!

Enjoy lots of extra entertainment on the night including singing and dance performances, spooky characters available for photo opportunities, Halloween themed window displays, competitions and other activities.

Halloween at BeWILDerwood – book now for 2025

Where: Bewilderwood, Cheshire

When: 4th-5th, 11th-12th, 18th-19th, 25th October – 2nd November 2025

Cost: £22.95 each (£20.95 for heights between 92cm and 105cm, under 92cm, wheelchair users and carers are free).

Summary: This year is a little different to previous years. Everything is included in a day ticket, it is no longer an evening only event. Play in the day, Halloween activities (including crafts and disco), go Twig or Treating, Glowing Light Trail (between 5-6pm, 4:30 onwards in half term)

Halloween trail at Ness Botanic gardens – Details for 2025

Summary: There is plenty for all the family to see & a conundrum for 5-12 year olds to solve. The trail will take approximately 40 minutes to complete.

Free Spooky stop motion workshop, Storehouse – details for 2025

When: 31st October 2025

suitable for children aged 7-13 years

Bring along your own tablet with the Stop Motion Studio app downloaded, along with plenty of imagination and enthusiasm! There will be props and ideas to inspire you, but feel free to bring along your own toy or gizmo and make them into a movie star!

Free Spooky Saturday, macclesfield town centre – 2025 details

When: 25th October 2025

Get an early start with the Pumpkin Trail as more than 50 organisations have signed up this year from all over town – see how many you can find and then come back for your prize.

Marc Makes Comics will hosting be a spooky-special of Challenge Marc along Chestergate and Upper Market Place and if that gets you in the mood to create you can head to the Crafty Crypt with ArtSpace in the Grosvenor Centre. Laura from Bubble-Beez will be helping you make your own cauldron bath-bombs but don’t get too distracted while making them because The Humber Monster will be patrolling Market Place, ready to gobble-up any little monsters they come across!
The Face Painting Queen will be with us, as always and older children and adults can sign up for a gruesome Macc-abre walking tour with Tina and Daisy at 3pm (child-friendly) and 5pm (adults only).

Wilmslow Halloween trail – 2025 details

When: 18th October – 1st November 2025

Participants can pick up a free trail map from Waitrose or Wilmslow Library and set out on a fun-filled adventure. The trail also features 10 hidden Draculas to seek out, along with puzzles, colouring activities and a chance to win spooky prizes by submitting completed sheets at Waitrose.

Crewe Spooktacular – 2025 details

When: 25th October 2025

On the 25th, the town centre becomes the Haunted Heart of Crewe. From 11am to 3.30pm Lyceum Square, The Victoria Centre, and Market Square will be filled with free family fun, glitter face painting, creepy crafts and roaming performers.

At 2pm, there will be a fancy dress competition, where you can win free tickets to this year’s panto, Jack and the Beanstalk. A final performance in Lyceum Square will bring the day to a close.

Crewe Market Hall will also be hosting a Halloween Comic-Con, while different parts of Crewe transforms into creepy communities.
