Can you believe it’s time to start thinking about Christmas events already? Some Christmas days out in the North West have tickets on sale already and I’ve included these below. Below you’ll find details of the best Christmas events in the North West. I have separate guides to lots of different types of Christmas event like pantomimes, breakfast with Santa, Santa’s grottos and Christmas light trails. You’ll find links to all of these below.

I’ve done my best to add the details of all these events accurately and keep it up to date but I strongly advise you to click through and check on the organiser’s website to ensure the dates and times have not changed. Most of these events require pre-booking so I’d recommend you do that as soon as you decide you want to in order to avoid disappointment.

Christmas Events Cheshire

There are lots of Christmas events happening across Cheshire in 2024. There are light trails, pantomimes and other family days out.

Some of the highlights include the ever-popular light trails at the magical woodland, Chester Zoo lanterns, The snowman live and pantomimes.

You can also find all the Santa’s Grotto Cheshire here. There is a mix of low-cost grottos in garden centres and shopping centres as well as bigger events like Christmas at Bolesworth that include a Santa’s grotto too.

Liverpool always looks fantastic at Christmas with the giant Christmas tree and loads of pretty lights. Last year there was a lovely free light trail on the docks and I’ll be keeping an eye out to add them to the guide for you.
