What to expect at Star Pins
Star Pins is a new entertainment venue in Liverpool that is great for families. There is ten-pin bowling, ice-free curling, tech darts, karaoke, shuffleboard and arcade. Of course they also sell food and drinks.
Families are welcome until 6pm so it’s perfect for a cold January family weekend day out. It’s a great place to have fun with tweens and teens. My kids are 9 and 12 and love venues like Star Pins
After 6pm the lights go down, the music turns up and it becomes a bar with all the fun during the day but great for nights out with friends or date night.
Where is Star Pins?
Star Pins is located on School Lane in Liverpool city centre.
The address is:
7 School Lane, L1 3AQ
Ten pin bowling

My kids have really started to enjoy ten-pin bowling over the last few years. At Star Pins children play for £6 per child and adults for £8 each. They have optional barriers, ramps and lighter balls for younger kids. Just ask the staff and they will be happy to set you up.
Ice free curling
Ice-free curling is an activity I’m less familiar with but excited to try as it sounds great fun for families. At Star Pins, a lane costs from £12 to book.
If like me you’re not familiar with curling then the aim of the game is to slide the curling stones and aim for the centre of the target. Just like bowling you take turns to play and use your skills to learn the amount of force you need to slide the stones with.

Shuffleboard
Shuffleboard is another great game for families. Tables start from £8 per half an hour to play.
Not familiar with shuffleboard? There are line markings on the table, with those furthest away worth more. Use your strategy and skills to use the right amount of force to beat your opponent!
Arcade games

What child doesn’t love an arcade? At Star Pins they have a large collection or games including classics and brand new challenges. There’s no need to book the arcade so it’s great for adding on to a curling or ten-pin bowling game.
Other activities at Star Pins
There are other activities that you might add on to your visit to Star Pins including tech darts and karaoke. There is also a cafe and bar on site.
