Things to do in Liverpool for teenagers

Days out with teenagers aren’t always the easiest to plan! I’m sure you have some ideas of the types of activities your teen enjoys but here I’m going to share some fun things to do in Liverpool City Centre and surrounding areas. It can be hard to find something that everyone will like, but I have found some of the best things to do in Liverpool for teenagers. Find more family days out North West England here.

Liverpool isn’t a particularly big city but it does have some beautiful buildings, art galleries and museums, places to enjoy water sports and plenty of places to visit with young people. There are loads of places to enjoy family days out but I’ve selected the best ways to spend time with teens in the city and further into Merseyside too.

Football stadium tours

One of the first things to consider would be a football stadium tour if your teenagers are football fans. There are two major football teams in Liverpool, so whether they are a fan of the red side or the blue side, the stadium tours are always a fun experience. Teenagers will enjoy the history and also a chance to be in the player’s dressing room. Either of these football stadiums make a great place to visit with football fans.

Breakout Liverpool

One thing that has grown in popularity, especially for teenagers and young adults, is an escape room experience. A great way to spend time with your older children and actually work together to crack the clues and challenges. It gets them away from their screens and actually communicating with you. A wonderful way to spend an afternoon or evening.

An escape room is something that family members will all enjoy working together to crack the code.

At Breakout Liverpool there are 8 different themed breakout rooms to choose from. They are suitable for families and there are different levels of difficulty across the rooms so you might keep coming back to this venue.

It is a great way to spend some time with your teenagers. Restaurants include a wide range of cuisines from across the globe and there is a good mix of independents and chains. Our favourite is Rudy’s Pizza!
