The animals at Glebe farm

There is a wide selection of farm animals to see at Glebe Farm which your kids will love. Mine certainly did anyway.

There are sheep, donkeys and Alpacas in fields/pens by the car park. Peacocks and parrots and other birds in the Avery near the playground. There is a covered barn area with goats, a shetland pony, chickens and lambs on our visit. There are larger paddocks and fields behind the farm which have highland cows and horses.

You can buy animal feed from the farm shop if you would like to feed the animals. There are signs on various animal enclosures as some animals can be made very ill but carrots etc so please only feed the animals the feed you can buy at the farm.

The farm takes hygiene very seriously and there are plenty of signs about washing hands and most importantly, facilities for washing your hands in the covered barn and in the playground too.

Glebe Farm playground

There is a lovely playground at the centre of Glebe farm with swings, a slide, a climbing frame and some of those wobbly things (no idea what they are called, sorry).

The playground is right next to the duck pond (but fenced in so very safe for young children) and opposite the alpacas and sheep. We have been visiting Glebe Farm on and off for about 9 years and the play area has recently been renovated to a really high standard.

For a small fee, you can enjoy a tractor ride around the farm. My kids loved this when they were younger. The tractor operates at weekends and in the summer. At the time of writing (April 2023) it is £1 per person to ride the tractor.
