Easter egg hunt at Acorn Bank NT

Make your way along the trail and find 10 activities across the site. The price of the trail is £3 per child and includes a trail sheet, bunny ears and a chocolate egg at the end.

When: 28th March – 14th April 2024

Cost: £3 per trail. Normal admission applies to non-members

Easter egg hunt at Allan Bank NT

Make your way along the trail and find nature-inspired activities for the whole family. The price of the trail is £3 per child and includes a trail sheet, bunny ears and a chocolate egg at the end.

When – 26 March – 7 April 2024 (house closed on Mondays)

Cost – £3 plus admission costs for non-members

Easter egg hunt, Wray castle Bank NT

Make your way along the trail and find nature-inspired activities for the whole family. Enjoy an Easter treat at the end!

Note the play trail is currently closed due to storm damage.

Easter egg hunt at Wordsworth House and gardens NT

Pick up your activity pack from the welcome desk and discover creative Easter crafts, play at taking tea like the Wordsworth’s, try wild art and enjoy some lively games.

Cost – Trails are priced at £3 each and are in addition to our entry fee (free entry for National Trust members).

Easter Bunny breakfasts Cumbria

Easter bunny breakfast at Dobbies Carlisle

When – 29th March – 1st April 2024.

Follow the footprints to find the Easter Bunny who is playing in their wildflower meadow, before enjoying some egg-cellent games.  Plus, our bunny and the team (both experts in all things wildflowers) will help them plant their very own miniature wildflower meadow to take home

During the event children will also be given a chocolate rice crispy cake.  Alternatives will be supplied for any children with relevant allergies

This event is suited to families with children aged 3-10 years old. Children under 3 can still take part in some activities with the support of an adult. To relax and fully enjoy the experience, families will be seated and served at their own table

Once you have selected your preferred location and date you will be able to choose from the following meal options, subject to availability:

Children’s Menu (£10.99):

  • Children’s Breakfast – Pork sausage, scrambled eggs, hash brown & baked beans, served with apple juice, orange juice or water (589kcals) NGI

Great golden bunny hunt, Brockhole on Windermere

When: 29th March to 5th April 2024

Can you find the great golden bunny hidden at Brockhole on Windermere? Pick up a sheet from the Woodland Shop and get hunting, remember to get a photo with the Great Golden Bunny when you find him to claim your prize from the shop in Brockhole House.

Easter at Muncaster Castle

When – 29 March – 1 April 2024

Get creative and test your problem-solving skills at the Protect the Egg Workshop!  Design and craft a protective shield for your egg – then brace yourself as these creations face the ultimate test in The Big Egg Drop from the castle roof!

The Big Muncaster Egg Hunt will take place each day. Successful searchers will be rewarded with an Easter Treat.

Children’s tickets include: Protect the Egg & The Big Egg Drop, The Big Muncaster Egg Hunt and The Easter Trail.

Easter activities at the Ravenglass and Eskdale railway this Easter holidays will include our “High Speed Easter Egg Hunt” competition for children to complete on the train journey.

Easter weekend, Holker Hall

When – 29th March – 1st April 2024.

All things egg related, with some yummy chocolate treats thrown in for good measure… Bring your bonnets and enjoy treasure trails through the gardens Friday – Monday, from 11am – 3pm Saturday and Sunday decorate your own egg  – we’ll supply everything you need for £2 pp, and anything goes – and then join us for egg rolling in the gardens on the hour from midday to 3pm.

Adult Gardens entry is required to participate in garden events – U12’s go free.

Easter Sunday brings Malice in Wonderland to Holker 11am – 3pm

After Dark Murder Mystery brings to Holker Part Mystery, part Scavenger Hunt, and Treasure Trail, this interactive event is fun for all the family. You will get the opportunity to seek out characters to question, uncover clues, and unravel riddles to reveal which of the Wonderlanders carried out the dastardly deed.

When – 30th & 31st March 2024.

Peter Rabbit tea party, World of Beatrix potter

When – 31st March, 6th & 7th April 2024.

Your ticket includes:

  • Entry to the World of Beatrix Potter Attraction on the day of the party

  • Storytime with Beatrix Potter followed by a short Peter Rabbit animation

Take a hop, skip and a jump to our Foyer and if there’s a space free at our art table, take a seat and design and colour in your very own bunny ears to take home.

Peter Rabbit & Jemima sculpture painting, World of Beatrix Potter

When – 5th April 2024.

Choose Jemima Puddle Duck or Peter Rabbit, grab a seat at our painting table and design and paint your own sculpture to take home.

Purchase your sculpture (£3) at the Box Office and have fun!

(You do not need to book tickets in advance for this event – simply purchase your sculpture on the day and drop in at the craft table to paint it).

Tales of the golden egg, Lowther Castle and Gardens

When – 23rd March – 15th April 2024.

Follow the clues from one panel to the next round the garden and by the end of the trail, you will be able to spell the Special Golden Egg Word. Go to Admissions, tell whoever is at the desk the Special Golden Egg Word and you will be given a small Easter prize.

Each panel will contain a fascinating and/or peculiar fact about golden eggs. Why does a goose lay a golden egg? What exactly is a golden egg? What other ‘golden eggs’ are there? And golden geese – what about them?

Carlisle castle Easter Adventure Quest

Hunt for clues in the grounds, track down the Easter eggs and get rewarded with a tasty chocolate treat.

You can take on the quest every day of the school holidays, and it costs just £2 to take part. This is on top of the ticket price. There’s no need to book, and you can pay when you arrive at the site.
