BounceFest – indoor events
When – Kirby Lonsdale – 19th – 21st February 2026
Expect bouncy castles, inflatable slides, assault courses, giant games and soft play.

Taylor Fever, The Coro
When – 15th February 2026.
TAYLOR FEVER is the electrifying tribute production dedicated to bringing the magic of megastar Taylor Swift’s music to life on stage.

Paint Pot Barn Children’s Workshop, The Coro
When – 19th February 2026.
Have fun creating your very own unique design on a cute unicorn or dragon. The library will also be running a special themed Storytime session as part of the workshop!

February half term activities, Windermere Jetty Museum
When – 17th -21st February 2026
free drop-in activities are inspired by boats, sailing and life on the lake.
Build a Boat with MakeDo tools – Using recycled cardboard and child-safe MakeDo tools, have a go at building your own boat to display in the Learning Centre!
Knot tying – Put your knot tying skills to the test and have a go at learning some essential sailing knots the boat team use every day!

Creative February half term at Abbot Hall
When – 14th – 21st February 2026
Hands-on activities inspired by the Simon Starling: Boat Worksexhibition. Runs from 14 February and throughout half term during opening hours: Wednesday–Saturday, 10am–4pm.
Boat Works Collage – Using images from ‘Simon Starling: Boat Works’, collage a boat and imagine where it would row, sail or float! Draw inspiration from the exhibition, or from your favourite boats. Self-led activity in the Coffee bar in the Creative space.
This self-led activity is available daily from the Art Cart.
Painting Blocks Workshop – Join this free artist-led workshop and paint a toy block to help add colour and creativity to our Creative space.
Sessions take place on Thursday 19 February from 10.30 – 11.30am and 2 – 3pm.
Concertina Crafts – Trace, cut and decorate various concertina shapes that connect with our ‘Simon Starling: Boat Works’ exhibition. What shapes will you create?
This self-led activity is available daily from the Art Cart.
Exhibition Art Trail – Sully the Cat has added a new clue to the Abbot Hall Art Trail! What types of plants can you spot? Find the clues in Gallery 8.

Crafty February half term at Blackwell
When – 14th – 21st February 2026
Origami birds – Create your own origami bird in the Guild Room, inspired by colours, shapes and patterns found in Frances Priest’s Motif. Materials and instructions provided.
Available from Saturday 14 February and throughout half term.
Drop in Monday–Saturday, 10am–4pm (during normal opening hours).
Tissue Paper Stained-Glass Window – Take inspiration from Blackwell’s beautiful windows and create your own stained glass window collage using the materials provided.
This activity will be available between 11am – 3:45pm on Thursday 19 February.

The bubbles show 2, Theatre by the lake

Mr Sleepybum’s dream machine, Theatre by the lake

Mr Sleepybum is a critically acclaimed kids comedy show created by character comedian Jody Kamali.
Mr Sleepybum is sad. He can’t dream.
To solve this problem, he invents a machine that magically brings dreams to life, featuring dinosaurs, robots, car chases, the world’s largest blanket and much more! This award-winning interactive show is filled with sketches, slapstick and silliness, ensuring maximum fun for the whole family.

Magic week and the magic of lambing at Walby Farm park
When – 14th – 22nd February 2026.
Experience the wonder of new life on the farm as lambing season begins at Walby. Our Animal Barn will be bustling with excitement as our Livestock Team works tirelessly to care for our ewes and their newborn lambs. Watch the action up close and meet the lambs, just days old – it’s a truly magical experience that captures the beauty of spring on the horizon.

Wonder World: Earth, Children’s Trail, Sizergh Castle

Delve down into the muddy earth and you’ll find a whole world bursting with life.

Hop into the wild family trail, Wray Castle
When – 14th February – 8th March 2026
The National Trust is celebrating the release of Disney and Pixar’s “Hoppers”, in Cinemas 6 March. Discover the ‘Hop into the wild’ family trail, with storytelling and outdoor play.
If you’re a family (with children aged 6-11), come and enjoy the great outdoors, guided by cutouts of the “Hoppers” gang. Collect your discovery passport, explore the animal kingdoms, and most importantly, unleash your wild side!
