There are loads of great Family pantomimes and other shows in Lancashire this Christmas. Below you’ll find all the Lancashire Christmas shows 2025. Elf Jr at Darwen Library Theatre – book now for 2025
When – 12th & 13th December 2025
In this heart-warming musical, Santa narrates the story of Buddy, an apparently oversized elf who has been raised in the North Pole.
During the lead up to Christmas, Buddy overhears the other elves discussing how he is really a human but hasn’t realized. He is devastated and Santa must reveal to his wannabe elf that baby Buddy mistakenly crawled into Santa’s bag of gifts on Christmas Eve many years ago and was transported to the North Pole on Santa’s return home.
With Santa’s blessing, Buddy decides to travel to New York City to find his real father (who is on the naughty list). Shocked that his own father could be on the naughty list, he is further astounded that his half-brother doesn’t believe in Santa. How can this be? Buddy decides to change the outlook and behaviour of his new family and bring the true meaning of Christmas back into New York City.
Along the way, he discovers friendship, romance, and his true identity. Elf JR is a modern day holiday classic that aims to spread Christmas cheer for all to hear!

Meet a curious little reindeer with a big heart and an even bigger nose for sniffing out secrets —uncovering a holiday mystery that just might save Christmas! Packed with catchy songs, silly antics, and festive fun, this actor and puppet-powered adventure will warm hearts of all ages.

The holy and the ivy – Horse + Bamboo – book now for 2025
When – 29th, 30th November and 6th & 7th December 2025
Suitable for children aged 3-7 years.
Two friends play in the woods when somehow, they become parted. How will they find each other and who will they meet along the way?
With lots of songs and help from the comedy Krampus and a cheeky Wren, the two end up on all kinds of adventures as they try to reunite.
This immersive journey through the forest is brought to life with animation, puppetry and live folk wintery music.

The classic story of Snow White, told in a brand-new production packed full of jokes, songs, slapstick and fairytale adventure.
A peace throughout the magical Kingdom of Everwood is shattered when the good King dies and his land is inherited by a beautiful but evil Queen who uses her spellbinding powers to terrorise the residents. When the old King’s daughter, Snow White, comes of age the Queen sees her as a challenge and so she is banished to the woods.
