There are loads of great Family pantomimes and other shows in Lancashire this Christmas. Below you’ll find all the Lancashire Christmas shows 2026. I’ve created a separate heading for Blackpool Christmas shows since there are so many. This post is part of a series of posts on Christmas shows North West England.

Lancashire Christmas shows 2026

Elf and safety at Darwen Library Theatre – book now for 2026

When – 16th & 23rd December 2026

In Elf and Safety, Santa’s workshop is about to get a high-tech upgrade… whether it wants one or not. When an over-enthusiastic (and wildly accident-prone) elf unveils a brand-new toy-making mega machine, it promises to make Christmas faster, smarter, and bigger than ever before.
There’s just one tiny problem… it doesn’t work.

What follows is a whirlwind of exploding gadgets, malfunctioning machinery, flying toys, and full-on festive pandemonium as the workshop spirals into hilarious disorder. With the clock ticking towards Christmas Eve, can the chaos be contained before the big day arrives?

Packed with slapstick comedy, big visual gags, interactive moments, and plenty of sparkle, Elf and Safety is a fast-paced, family-friendly Christmas show that will have children howling with laughter and grown-ups grinning from ear to ear.

The Wizard of Oz at King George’s Hall – book now for 2026

This Christmas, follow the Yellow Brick Road to King George’s Hall for a spectacular family pantomime as The Wizard of Oz bursts onto the stage in a fun-filled festive adventure for all ages.
Packed with laughs, magic and audience participation, this panto-style retelling invites you to boo the baddies, cheer the goodies and join Dorothy and her friends on an unforgettable journey. Along the way, they’ll search for a brain, a heart, courage — and of course, a way back home — with plenty of mischief and mayhem at every bend of that famous road!

Robin Hood, Lancaster Grand Theatre – book now for 2026

When – 28th November – 28th December 2026

When the wicked Sheriff of Nottingham taxes the townsfolk into misery and then plots to get rid of King John’s young niece and nephew, it’s up to our hero Robin Hood to save the day. Alongside the brave and brilliant Maid Marion and his loyal band of Merry Men and Women, Robin takes on the Sheriff and his hilariously hopeless sidekicks, Snivel and Grovel. 

Packed with comic chaos and jokes, audience participation, catchy songs, dazzling dancing and plenty of boos and cheers, Robin Hood is a magical pantomime for the whole family — oh yes it is!

Beauty and the Beast at Lowther Pavilion – book now for 2026

When – 30th November 2026 – 3rd January 2027

Join Belle, Philippe, Gaston and Cheri Trifle for a delightful mix of mischief and mayhem in a tale as timeless as pantomime! Only true love can break the curse cast upon the Count by an evil witch. But will love truly conquer all – and prove to be more than skin deep?

Filled with plenty of traditional pantomime audience participation, spectacular scenery and breathtaking special effects, an awfully big adventure awaits audiences of all ages in this most magical family pantomime.

Aladdin, Blackburn Empire – Book now for 2026

This latest production from Tom Rolfe Productions is packed with comedy, chaos, a magical Genie, and plenty of audience participation – everything you’d expect from a proper Blackburn panto.

Maybe with the help of Cinderella’s Fairy Godmother, a generous helping of fairy dust, and a glass slipper, perhaps Cinderella’s wish could come true and she will live happily ever after?
