There’s plenty going on for kids this Halloween in Lancashire. Below you’ll find all the Halloween events Lancashire for 2026. There are family-friendly shows, farm events featuring pumpkin carving, Halloween discos and so much more. This post is part of a series of posts on Halloween events North West.

Supernatural at Martin Mere – 2026 event, no need to book

Scare Kingdom Scream Park – 2026 tickets on sale now

Summary: Expect dinosaurs, new pumpkin village, a dead scary maize maze, fancy dress competitions, spooky ghost stories, sorcery school and loads of photo opportunities. Designed for young children, spooky not scary

Mrs Dowsons Farm Park’s Pumpkin Festival – 2026 tickets on sale now

Cost: Children £13.57, Adults £11.48. Every ticket includes a pumpkin token. You can also stay an explore the farm included in the ticket price.

Summary: explore 3 acres of pumpkins including homegrown and 12 imported varieties of pumpkins. They also offered adult-only evenings (see below).

Mrs Dowsons Farm Park’s Pumpkin nights (13+ only) – 2026 tickets on sale now

Summary: wander along the lantern-lit path to the glowing pumpkin patch. Then have a go at the carnival games – 3 tries for £3, with plenty more chances to win at the patch. Once your pumpkin is safely in hand, wander back to the courtyard where the fun continues: toast marshmallows over crackling fires, nibble on seasonal treats and enjoy live music that will have you swaying under the stars.

Halloween Pumpkin Festival, Samlesbury Hall – details for 2026

Where: Samlesbury Hall. Preston New Road, Samlesbury, Preston, Lancashire. PR5 0UP

Cost: Pumpkins priced individually, pumpkin hunt sheet and quiz available to purchase from reception.

Summary: The Hall’s beautiful courtyard will be turned orange, where you can pick up your perfect pumpkin to take home and carve.  The Hall itself will be host to a pumpkin hunt and Halloween quiz through the spooky rooms, not forgetting of course the ghost room and the witches’ garret in the creepy attics.

Treats available in Maria’s Tea room throughout the week, an ideal cosy afternoon, or lunches in The Garden Room Eatery.

Halloween ghost trains, East Lancashire Railway – book now for 2026

Summary: Something VERY strange is happening along the tracks of the ELR this Halloween, and Zombie Bob and the Monster Squad need your help to get to the bottom of it!

Prove you have what it takes by making your way through the haunted Halloween Walkthrough at Bury Station; beware jump scares.

Once you’re on the platform, prepare yourself to face the terror-rific singing and dancing of Vampire Brian and Veronica The Witch.

Finally you will board the Scream Train, which has had a spooky makeover. Expect flickering lights, eerie sounds, creepy surprises and perhaps a VERY unwelcome visitor climbing aboard… Only with the help of the Monster Squad will you make it safely back to Bury.

Wizarding Adventure at East Lancashire Railway – 2026 tickets on sale now

Your child will begin in our Halloween-themed Boos & Brews Pop-Up Café, where they’ll receive a carving kit and a quick guide before heading to the Spooky Pumpkin Patch to choose their very own pumpkin. Once they’ve picked the perfect pumpkin, you’ll return to the Boos & Brews café where your child can scoop, stencil, cut and carve their spooky creation, leaving all the mess to us. £10 per child. Little Monsters Slime Lab – 30th October. Hands-on slime workshop where little creators will mix, stretch and squish their way through a frightfully fun experience! Summary: Explore Brockholes, find the markers, complete the challenge and have fun together! Brought to you in partnership with British Orienteering, Xplorer is the perfect outdoor activity to get the whole family outside in the fresh air together! There are certificates for those completing the challenge along with a sweet treat!

There are 2 courses available, one is pram-friendly and the markers are in number order in a circular route. The other course is more challenging and not pram-friendly. Families will need to use navigation skills to find markers across the reserve.

Summary: For hundreds of years, Hoghton Tower School of Witchcraft and Wizardry has been training some of the greatest Witches and Wizards in Lancashire.

Now, a new trouble is brewing within the walls of Hoghton Tower. Teachers talk about a monster lurking through the corridors and students are determined to reveal the truth!

Summary: Aimed at children 5-11 years. The walk will be over the space of an hour, so please dress appropriately to the weather conditions of the day (a raincoat is a must!). We would also recommend Wellies or a pair of walking boots as the terrain will vary; you and your party will be walking off footpaths, so if you’re a little unsteady on your feet – this one might not be for you. The walk will also be 2km, so please be wary if you would struggle over that distance.

Join Julie from Pip Cottage to make your very own willow woven spider and web to celebrate Halloween. All materials and step by step instruction are provided. All children need to be accompanied by a parent or guardian. This 2-and-a-half-hour session is suitable for those aged 8 and above.
