Ice cream farms in Cheshire

There are loads of ice cream farms in Cheshire to choose from if you fancy an ice cream. Many of them also have great play areas for kids too and some of them are a full day out! This post is part of a series of posts on ice cream parlours North West England.

I have visited many of these over the years and others come from recommendations in my Facebook group for families in the North West. So whilst I haven’t visited everyone myself, they are recommended by real families.

The ice cream farm, Tattenhall

Where – The ice cream farm, Newton Lane, Tattenhall, Cheshire, CH3 9NE

This is way more than an ice cream farm but they do sell their own delicious ice cream in a wide range of flavours. As well as a cafe there is the world’s first ice cream drive in!

The ice cream farm has loads to keep your kids busy for up to a full day! You do need to book in advance to visit the farm but you can turn up anytime at the drive in.

In the farm itself you will find soft play, indoor sand and water play, mini golf, outdoor play areas, mini tractors and diggers as well as lots more.

Giant ice cream cone sculptures in pastel blue, pink, green and vanilla colors stand in front of a fantasy themed rock formation at The Ice Cream Farm. Pink waterfall features flow down the center of the display, with oversized strawberries, mushrooms and colorful flowers decorating the scene behind a white picket fence.

Snugburys ice cream, Nantwich

Where – Park Farm, A51, Hurleston, Nantwich, CW5 6BU

This ice cream farm is free to visit. As well as loads of delicious ice cream flavours to choose from they also have a small selection of farm animals and a 50ft high Paddington bear sculpture!

Last summer there was also a wildflower walk with willow dinosaur sculptures and a sunflower walk too. No details have been released for this summer but I suspect they’ll be working on something similar and I’ll update as soon as I find out more.

Visitors queue outside Snugburys on a sunny day, gathered in front of a red brick farm building with a grey awning displaying the shop name. Flower displays and chalkboard signs line the entrance as people wait to buy ice cream in the cobbled courtyard.
Giant Paddington Bear sculpture stands on a grassy hill under a clear blue sky, wearing his signature blue coat and red hat while holding a suitcase. Visitors walk through the surrounding fields in the distance, highlighting the scale of the landmark at Snugburys.

Seven Sisters, Knutsford

We love this ice cream farm with a very posh ice cream parlour! They have a wide range of ice creams and other desserts on offer such as waffles and milkshakes.

During the summer months there is a maize maze which in the autumn becomes a spooky maze for Halloween. They also have a popular pumpkin patch.

There is both indoor and outdoor seating with a small play area outside.

They also serve lunch in the cafe too. Last year they had a sunflower maze in the summer so I’ll update as soon as I know if this is back for 2026.
