Easter events Manchester 2026

There’s loads going on for families this Easter across Greater Manchester. This post is going to give more details of all the events with an Easter theme. This is my Easter events Manchester 2026 guide and it is part of a series of posts on Easter events North West.

Easter events on farms in Greater Manchester

Smithills Easter egg hunt, Smithills open farm

When – 28th March – 5th April 2026.

The egg hunts are guided by the farm egg-sperts. Families are led into the woods where our egg hunt arena is. Children get the opportunity to search for rubber / plastic eggs and are able to egg-change for chocolate ones. (Non dairy option also available). Other prizes to find too! Our Easter bunnies and chicks are there hiding too! All children receive an Easter Egg or Easter soft toy.

Easter at the farm, Reddish Vale Farm

When – 28th March – 6th April 2026.

Includes meeting the Easter Bunny, Easter egg trail around the farm, follow the clues around the farm to find each Easter Egg to claim your Chocolate egg or Easter Egg Hunt for 0-3 years – find 5 of the same colour egg in the Easter Village to claim your Chocolate Egg. One Easter Egg per paying child. 

There will also be sow a seed and Easter arts and crafts as well as the usual farm fun.

Lambing at Lancaster Farm

When – from 28th March 2026

This includes bottle feeding baby lambs (limited time only) and loads of other animals to see and even hold. There’s also all the usual fun on the farm.

National Trust Easter events Manchester

Easter adventures at Dunham Massey

When – 26th March – 19th April 2026.

Hop around 10 trail points and let the adventure begin.

£3.50 per person. Admission applies to none members.

Includes a chocolate egg (vegan ‘Free-From’ chocolate eggs available).

Easter adventures at Lyme park

When – 21st March – 12th April 2026.

Easter is a fantastic time to explore Lyme. This year you’ll be enjoying a brand-new family friendly route that’s been created with exciting games and activities to complete along the way. 

From short bursts of fun to all-day escapades, there’s plenty to enjoy for all ages. The trail is £3.50 per trail, includes a chocolate egg, or a vegan ‘Free-From’ chocolate egg, both made using cocoa from Rainforest Alliance Certified farms plus normal admission.

Easter trails Greater Manchester

Who framed the Easter Bunny? and other family Easter events, RHS Bridgewater

When – 27th March – 19th April 2026.

Follow clues and solve the mystery of the Easter Bunny in this interactive family Easter trail. Surrounded by spring blossom and bursts of seasonal colour, it’s an inspiring day out where families can roam the beautiful garden.

£3 per child for the detective pack and a chocolate Easter Bunny.

Bramall Hall Easter Trail

When – 26th March – 19th April 2026

Come along and take our interactive trail around the Hall.

You’ll learn about Easter traditions, spot cheeky chicks hiding, take part in a craft activity and meet a giant version of one of this holidays’ favourite characters!

There is also a small prize as a reward for a finishing the trail.

Broad Oak Easter hearts trail, Fletcher Moss Park

When – 2nd – 19th April 2026

Get your trail map from the food truck and find all the hearts with Easter illustrations around the park. No chocolate eggs for this one.

Free – The Stanley Square Big Dino Egg Hunt, Sale

When – 3rd – 11th April 2026.

Millions of years ago… the dinosaurs hid their eggs to keep them safe. Now the eggs have reappeared around Stanley Square and the Dino Keepers need help finding them before they hatch! Find all the eggs and match them to the dinosaurs.

Complete your trail sheet, dino tracker card and trivia questions. Easter treats at the end!

Highland cow trail at Dunham Massey farm ice cream

When – 3rd – 19th April 2026.

Follow the trail around the farm and collect the clues dotted along the way. Solve the puzzle as you go and see if you can crack the final answer.

At the centre of the trail you’ll find the farm’s Highland cows in the field, giving you the perfect chance to see them up close, take photos and grab a few Highland cow selfies along the way.

Once you’ve completed the trail and solved the puzzle, every child will receive their very own Highland cow plushie to take home, an 8-inch (22cm) cuddly Highland cow to remember the day.

Easter Egg Hunt at Heaton Moor Park

When – 4th April 2026, 10-11:30am

For children from age 0 up to and including School Year 6. Enter from Park Road entrance (SK4 4PY)

Suggested donation – £3.00 per child for up to 4 Easter Eggs + 1 child’s drink of squash

Get a Registration card, and then find and collect corks in the park to exchange for Easter Eggs. There are also special corks that will gain you a special prize. Different age groups look for different colours of cork.

Easter egg hunt at Heaton Park

When – 3rd – 6th April 2026

The Easter Bunny is hiding in the park, and he’s left a trail of eggs to find him! Pick up a leaflet at the Stables and follow the eggs to find the clues to the secret
phrase. When you find the Bunny, tell him the secret phrase and collect your
chocolate egg!

Easter Chick Hunt at Ordsall Hall

When – 30th March – 16th April 2026 (selected dates)

There are 8 chicks hiding out at Ordsall Hall. Trails cost £2 per participating child and can be purchased on arrival at Ordsall Hall reception desk on the dates and times stated.

DJ Helen from the fab collective Queens of Disco in the ticket hall keeping the dance floor busy with the best tunes and tons of bubbles (and yes we will be sure to pack the foam machine!)

Tables full of arts and crafts, our mystery Easter egg hunt and Cequin Circus Bunny will all be there – and don’t forget your Easter bonnet as we will be having a parade with prizes for the best ones!

Wild Spring Adventure at The Hive, Moss Bank Park

Prick up those bunny ears and get ready to welcome in the Spring wildlife at The Hive at Moss Bank Park. Learn about baby animals on our trail, who’s egg is who’s, make your own seed bomb and create your own springtime wreath.
