There are loads of places to take the kids to see Father Christmas in Lancashire. I’ve compiled this list of all the Santa’s Grotto Lancashire 2025 that I can find. I’ve done my best to add the details of all these events accurately and keep them up to date but I strongly advise you to click through and check on the organiser’s website to ensure the dates, locations and times are correct. Events maybe changed or cancelled and I will not necessarily be aware of this. Links are providers so you can confirm all details for yourself before travelling or booking. Some of these events require pre-booking so I’d recommend you do that as soon as you decide you want to in order to avoid disappointment.

Ad Featured Grotto – Santa’s Magical Grotto at Duxbury Park Golf Club, Chorley – book now for 2025

Where: Duxbury Park Golf Club, Chorley

When: Selected dates from the 5th – 23rd December 2025

Cost: £20-£25 for children 2 and over, £12 for adults, under 2s £10

Summary: Experience includes:

• Write a letter to Santa, make a toy snowman, listen to a Christmas story with the elves and lots of crafty play
• Ride the magic elevator to Santa’s house in Lapland
• Meet Santa, collect a golden ticket to choose a gift in the toy shop, photo opportunities and nice list certificate!
• Adults also receive a gift from Santa

Visits last 40 minutes, 30 minutes with the elves and 10 minutes visiting Santa

Farmer Christmas walking adventure, Farmer Ted’s Adventure Farm, Ormskirk  – book now for 2025

Where: Farmer Teds, Ormskirk

When: 29th November – 23rd December 2025 (selected dates)

Cost: Children over 1 years old £27.50 – £29, Adults £16 – £18.50, under 1s £10.75

Summary: Begin with a visit to the animal barn, walk through Santa’s winter wonderland. There’s a short Christmassy film, a chance to make reindeer food, decorate gingerbread and of course meet Father Christmas himself.

Christmas at Mrs Dowsons – book now for 2025

When: selected dates from 22nd November – 21st December 2025

Where: Mrs Dowsons farm park, Hawkshaw Farm, Longsight Road, Clayton-le-Dale,

Cost: From Adults and children over 13 – £19.70, Children from 12 months -12 years – £34.53, Under 12 months £15.51

Christmas at the farm is an immersive adventure based on the original magical Father Christmas. It includes an Elf mischief and fun, live festive shows, meet Santa, decorate gingerbread and more.

Lasts 45 – 60 minutes, stay at the farm as long as you like before and after. We love the indoor play area.

Christmas Grotto Wonderland, Blackpool Pleasure Beach – book now for 2025

When: 15th November – 24th December 2025

Where: Blackpool pleasure beach

Cost: £17.99 per child and 2 accompanying adults

Summary: Guided by elves through Pleasure Beach’s very own grotto, children will walk through a magical interactive walkway where they’ll decorate a bauble to take home, collect reindeer food and a magic key, and of course meet Santa himself (with a little present included too).

With their ticket, children can also take a trip down the rabbit hole with a ride on Alice in Wonderland, then enjoy hot chocolate with marshmallows – a proper winter warmer!

Summary: Take part in an interactive storytime by the fireplace, where you’ll help bring Santa’s enchanted village to life. Receive a beautiful Christmas storybook, created exclusively for Billy Bob’s and gifted by Santa himself and a festive photo opportunity with Santa.

Santa’s Grotto at Haigh Woodland Park – Book now for 2025

When: 28th November – 23rd December 2025 (selected dates only)

Where: Haigh Woodland Park, School Lane, Wigan, WN2 1PE

Visit Father Christmas in his new lodge at Haigh’s courtyard. This includes 15 minutes with Father Christmas, a gift plus a voucher which can be redeemed in the Stables Gallery for each child to paint a Christmas Bauble.

Each timeslot allows one booking, with a minimum of 1 adult & 1 child attending. Tickets for up to 3 additional children can also be added to your booking. Additional adults are welcome to attend for free with no ticket required, but please be aware that the grotto can only accommodate 5 guests at one time.

A magical meeting with Father Christmas at Hoghton Tower – book now for 2025

When: 6th, 7th, 13th, 14th, 20th, 21st, 22nd and 23rd December 2025

Where: Hoghton Hall, Hoghton, Lancashire, PR5 0SH

Summary: Help the Reindeer Keeper prepare reindeer food to keep those cheeky reindeer well fed on Christmas Eve and then head on to meet the busy Postmaster as he prepares the nice list ahead of the big day. Then settle down for a heart-warming story-time with the lovely Mrs Claus herself before heading in to meet Father Christmas in our grand banqueting hall.

Warm yourself by the roaring log fire as he takes the time to talk with you in small groups, and will make sure he knows what every child would like to find on Christmas Morning. Each child will receive a gift from under our beautifully decorated Christmas Tree and there will be an opportunity to take photos in the festive surroundings.

Santa’s Grotto, Dobbies, Preston – book now for 2025

Where: Dobbies Preston, Blackpool Road, Clifton, Preston , PR4 0XL (also at Southport)

Cost: £14 – £16 per child

You’ll receive a warm welcome from the elves before you take part in the North Pole adventure. Children will get to experience snowy scenes, ice fish with the penguins, help the polar bears improve their ice hockey skills, shoot some snowball hoops and see where Santa’s reindeer live, all before getting the chance to meet Santa himself.

Santa Specials at West Lancs light railway – book now for 2025

When: 7th, 13th, 14th, 20th and 22st December 2025

Where: The West Lancashire Light Railway, Station Rd, Hesketh Bank, PR4 6SP

Join a short ride on a Santa Special steam train to Toyland, and meet Father Christmas! Children receive a present from Santa, and adults can enjoy a glass of mulled wine and a mince pie.

Santa’s Grotto at Lytham Hall – book now for 2025

When: 6th – 23rd December 2025

Cost: £15.50 per child

Summary: Santa’s Grotto Experience offers your Children a special personal audience with Santa-time to have a cosy chat, receive a present – followed by a photo opportunity for you to capture magical moments using your own camera or mobile phone.

Victorian Father Christmas at Samlesbury Hall – book now for 2025

When: 7th, 14th, 20th, 21st December 2025

Where: Samlesbury Hall, Preston New Road, Samlesbury, Preston, Lancashire. PR5 0UP

Cost: £12.35 for 1 child and 1 adult

Summary: Sit by the open fire as you discover if you are on the ‘naughty’ or ‘nice’ list! The candlelit Parlour will be dressed with historical decorations to create an atmosphere of Christmas past. Your meeting is personal and exclusive to you, and is intended for up to 4 children aged 10 years and under. Adults go free (1 per child), and you may take your own photographs to keep the memory of your meeting alive for years to come.

When: every Friday 3-8pm (21st Nov – 19th Dec) and Sat & Sun 11-6pm (22nd Nov – 21st Dec).

Summary: Follow the glowing path through the trees and complete interactive games and activities along the way. When you reach Santa’s cozy grotto, enjoy a personal meet and greet with the big man himself.

Summary: Learning to make elf cookies in Candy Castle. A trip to Santa’s sorting office, where you will be gift wrapping, sack stacking and letter sorting.

Attend elf school, even elves have to go to school. Help make reindeer food. Create your own Christmas stocking. Collect a treat out of Tinsel’s Sparkle Store. Meet Santa and discover the special gift Santa has for you.

Cost: £15 per adult, £10 per child, family ticket £45. Meet Santa is an add on for £6 per child (plus booking fees)

Summary: Magical Christmas light trail through woodlands. There will also be a Santa’s lodge where children can meet Santa and receive a special gift (additional fee). You can also toast marshmallows and purchase festive food and drink from the street food vendors.

Meet Father Christmas at Farmer Parrs Animal World – book now for 2025

Santa’s Grotto at Blackpool zoo, book now for 2025

When: every weekend from 29th November and 20th – 24th December 2025

The big man himself, along with his special meet-and-greet elves, will reside in our enchanting grotto inside the Camel House within the zoo.

Costing just £35.00 per child, tickets include one child admission into the zoo, a lovely gift, a free children’s fast food meal per child (served from 11:00am – 2:30pm), a Christmas decoration crafted on the day and some reindeer food for Rudolf to take home, as well as meeting Santa himself.

Santa’s grotto at Heysham Village Christmas fair – book now for 2025

When:  6th and 7th December 2025 at 12.30pm – 4.30pm each day.

Where: The Royal at Heysham, 9 Main Street, Heysham, LA3 2RN

£10 per child.

Follow the signs and the footprints from the entrance of our Christmas Market Marquee. You will find Santa’s “little helpers” ready to greet you with warmth and cheer for a unique and enchanting encounter with Santa. Santa’s special little pony friends will be there for petting as you enter Santa’s special Grotto.
