Play areas at Park View 4u

There are lots of different play areas for kids to enjoy and they are all really close together.

The sand and water play is the main attraction in the summer months. We visited in June 2023 and the water wasn’t switched on. There were signs up saying the water is switched on during the summer holidays. The sand play was still very popular though with pully systems to explore. When the water is on there are pumps, channels and dams and a splash pad too.

There is a large toddler playground with loads to appeal to children aged 6 and under. The teen area is also quite big with lots of great equipment for children aged 12 and over.

There are also BMX tracks, a large grass football pitch, a mud kitchen, play fit equipment for over 12 years old and a multi-use games area too.

My children were 7 and 10 when we visited. They loved the sand area and the climbing frames and slides around this area which are great for children between 5 and 11 years old.

This really depends on how long you like to spend at a playground. Given the chance, I’m sure my kids would have spent all day here but you could also spend under an hour here.

Walks at Park View 4u

Park View 4u isn’t really the type of park you go to for a walk around. There is a small woodland which you can walk through with woodcarvings. Perfect for little legs.

All the play areas are close together and other than the small community kitchen garden there aren’t formal gardens to walk around.

We combined our visit to the park with a walk around Fairhaven Lake which is a short drive away.

The park is a short walk from the centre of Lytham and the shops, cafes and restaurants. You could also walk to Lytham windmill on the seafront.
