It’s never too early to start thinking about next summer. Some of these festivals have tickets on sale already but not all of them. All the dates have been released though so you an add them to your diary.

Just so festival
When: no event in 2024
Where: Rode Hall, Cheshire
Cost:

What to expect: We have been to this family festival twice and I can honestly we love it! It’s amazing for kids of all ages. It’s packed full of live music, amazing family theatre, circus & dance performances, and Storytelling. There’s also the tribal contest, fancy dress optional but encouraged and so much more

Bluedot Festival – no details yet for 2025
When: No event in 2024 to let the ground recover. Hopefully it will be back in 2025.
Where: Jodrell Bank, Cheshire
Cost: These are 2023 costs.
- Adult weekend camping from £209.25
- Child (11-15 years) weekend camping from £104.50
- Child (4-10 years) weekend camping from £38.50
What to expect: Bluedot is a unique mix of music, science and cosmic culture. As well as live music, there are live science experiments, expert talks and immersive artworks. The theme for 2023 is Space carnival and there is plenty for all the family to enjoy.

Kendal Calling- book now for 2025
When: 1st – 3rd August 2025
Where: Lowther Deer Park, Penrith
Cost: Weekend tickets – Adults – £199 + booking fee, Teens £95 + booking fee, kids (6-10) £25 + booking fee.
What to expect: This festival is billed as the most picturesque festival. Headline acts include Noel Gallagher’s high flying birds, The streets and Paolo Nutini.
For families, there is mini Kendal callers with loads of children’s activities including yoga, theatre shows, inflatables, circus workshops and much more.

Cheshire Balloon Fiesta – No details yet for 2025
When: This event has been cancelled for 2024
Where: Bolesworth Estate
Cost: Early bird 1 day adult ticket from £20, 1 day child ticket £10. Early bird weekend camping ticket from £100 per adult and £70 per child
What to expect: This family weekend will include mass balloon launches (weather permitting), iconic tetheres balloon, spectacular night glow displays and live entertainment including Heather Small and Scouting for girls. There will also be entertainment for kids including Brainiac live, Raver tots and Cosmic kids.

Deva fest – book now for 2025
When: 7th -10th August 2025
Where: Cholmondeley Castle, Cheshire, SY14 8AH
Cost:
- Family of 4, day tickets from £171
- Weekend family ticket, no camping from £434
- Weekend family ticket with camping from £461
What to expect: This is a family-friendly music and food festival. Expect a free funfair, live music and comedy across 5 stages and street food. There are also watersports to take part in and family fun.

Deer shed festival – book now for 2025
When: 25th – 28th July 2025
Where: Baldersby park, Topcliffe, North Yorkshire
Cost:
- Adult weekend camping from £199 (plus a booking fee)
- Child (16-17 years) weekend camping from £100
- Child (11-15 years) weekend camping from £85
- Child (6-10 years) weekend camping from £85

What to expect: This is a family festival packed with music, art, science, sports and so much more.

Underneath the stars
When: 2nd – 4th August 2024
Where: Cinderhill farm, Cawthorne, near Barsnley
Cost:

- Camping from £27 per night
- Car parking, £7 for the day or £21 for the full weekend
What to expect: This is the 10th anniversary of Underneath the stars so you can expect a fantastic celebration. Full details to follow.

Camp Bestival Shropshire
When: 15-18th August 2024
Where: Weston Park, Shropshire
Cost: Tickets on sale now
- Adult weekend – £210 (+ booking fee)
- Age 13 to 17 Weekend – £155 (+booking fee)
- Age 10 to 12 Weekend – £128 (+booking fee)
- Age 5 to 9 Weekend – £108 (+booking fee)
- Age 2 to 4 & Weekend – £85 (+booking fee)
- Babes In Arms (1 & Under) – FREE (but ticket required)
- Weekend car parking £24.10 (+ booking fee)
What to expect: Back for it’s third year, is the sister show of one of the UKs top family-festivals, Camp Bestival (Dorset). As you might expect, it includes music, art, science and so many family activities.
Confirmed for 2024 is mermaid lessons, roller disco, night parade, a silent disco, wild swims and other water sports, Faithless, Paloma Faith, Rick Astley and loads more.

Timber festival
When: 5th – 7th July 2024
Where: Feanedock, The National Forest
Cost:
- Adult weekend camping tickets from £150 (subsidised), £175 (standard), £200 (supporter)
- Child (3-15 years) weekend camping ticket from £55
- Adult day tickets from £70
- Child (3-15 years) day tickets from £40
What to expect: This family festival is all about music, nature & art. It’s from the same team as Just So festival too. The full programme hasn’t been released but expect campfire stories, music, workshops, yoga and more.

Y Not festival
When: 2nd – 4th August 2024
Where: Pikehall Derbyshire
Cost: Weekend camping tickets £159.50
What to expect: This isn’t an exclusively family festival but there is a family camping area and plenty for families to enjoy. This is probably the festival on the list that is nearest to a music festival, kids are welcome but they aren’t the focus. It sounds great for taking older children.

Totfest Yorkshire
When: 19th May 2024
Where: The racecourse, Weatherby, West Yorkshire
Cost:
Adults and children over 1 year old – £24.75
Babies 3-11 months – £13.20
What to expect: Totfest is a festival for preschoolers. Highlights include Phonics with robot reg, The hartbeeps hub, the rainbow parade, messy play, soft play and so much more!

We invented the weekend
Where: Salford, Greater Manchester, various locations
When: 15th and 6th June 2024
Cost: FREE
What to expect: There will be loads of free events. So far CBeebies Bedtime stories and yoga have been announced.
Gloworm Daresbury
When – 23rd June 2024
Where – Walton Hall and Gardens, Warrington
Cost – Adults and children aged 3 and over £30.25
This is a family festival with Maddie Moate and Nigel Clarke confirmed so far.

Kinderfest 24
Where – Haigh Woodland park
When – 4th and 5th May 2024
Cost – Adults £8, children (3-12) £5.50, under 2s free.
This festival includes children’s walkabout entertainers, activity zone, bubble performers, huge inflatable zone , live music and much more.
